New Diet

I am currently on a new diet that I am trying out, it seems to be successful so far, I just need to get it down on paper and organise it so it can be understood.

The main thing is that I am losing weight and inches!!!

I am not on a fad diet, I am on a new eating regime with exercise.

I am making sure it works by testing it myself.

Just need ideas on how to market it...

Watch this space...

Details on how to get this workable, weigh loss formula will be available soon...

This formula will have you losing inches while you rest, sleep and play....

Boosting Your Metabolism

Metabolism

There isn't a more frequently used word in the weight loss (and weight gain) vocabulary than this.

Yes, it’s not uncommon to overhear people talking about their struggles – or triumphs – over the holiday bulge or love handles in terms of whether their metabolism is working, or not.

Doctors, too, often refer to metabolism when they try and explain why starvation and water-loss diets aren’t scientifically of medically responsible; since, unfortunately, they do not influence or take into account metabolism (see, there’s that word again!).

So, for all of the usage that this rather daunting and biologically-charged word enjoys in our world, you’d comfortably assume that people understand it, right?

Or, at least, they have some fundamental information when it comes to how to speed up their metabolism, right?

Wrong!

Understanding Metabolism

Many people simply don’t understand the concept of metabolism and metabolic change.  This is not their fault.

There is so much information floating around out there, much of it over the ‘net or through a “friend of a friend who has a personal trainer”, that there’s bound to be some confusion and conflicting messages.

Many people (quite understandably) mistake their own weight gain and loss episodes as a matter of metabolic change.  Sometimes this is true, and sometimes it isn't.

For example, as we will discuss, there are scientific ways to increase the rate of metabolic change, and thus enable the body to burn more calories.

Eating certain foods more frequently is one way to do this (again, we look closer at these claims).  Yet another way to visibly lose weight – at least on a perceived, temporary level – is to sit in a steam room for a few hours.

Whereas the former method (eating the right foods) is a real, proven weight loss method through increased metabolic change, the latter method (the steam room) is just temporary because the lost weight is merely water, and will return as quickly as it “melted away”.

The point to remember here is that some people mistake their own weight loss attempts as being related to metabolic change; and, as you can see with the steam room example, that isn't always the case.

I will be the guinea pig!!!

Guinea pig tester

yep that's right, I have decided to take the advice of all these gurus and mentors and experts...

Time to lose weight and tone up

You see I am one flabby and overweight 40 something mum. I have tried all sorts of diets, some worked and some failed...

I think that makes me a sorta expert don't it lol....

weight

lets just say my weight has tipped the 12 stone (168) mark, my bmi is just over 30 and I am heading towards menopause like an out of control train...

Exercise

Lets say my excuse was always me being allergic to exercise... well now 20 years on and a lot of stubborn belly fat, a big bum and tree trunks masquerading as legs... I have now learnt I REALLY DO HAVE TO EXERCISE...

conclusion

well I have been exercising and eating "normal portion sizes" for 5 weeks now... I started weighing myself weekly 2 weeks ago...

I can feel the muscles developing under my flab...

I have been told a difference can be seen...

I am feeling better in myself for exercising...

I have not gained any weight at all during the last 2 weeks...

I have not lost any weight either, but, in my book that is no bad thing as muscle weighs more than fat, so I must be doing something right...

I have taken some pictures of what I look like and will be putting them on here during the course of the next few days, I will update them monthly, and then we can all decide if my exercise and diet regimes are working....

feel free to join me and post comments and how you are doing too...

My Diet Journey

                 Am I really Dieting?

Diet or Lifestyle Change?

I am a "yo-yo dieter"...

Now that I am older I am finding the past diet sins have hit me like a ten ton truck...

Do I try a diet or do I do a full on lifestyle change?

Well that is the point of this blog...

I am looking at all sorts of diets and methods and trying to work out which is best for me...

Diet

well the advantage of diets is fast weight loss...  The disadvantages are you will probably gain back everything you lost and then some...

Lifestyle change

the advantage of this is permanent weight loss... disadvantage, takes a long time and steely will power...

So far I have managed to do 3 weeks of intense workouts each 20 mins 3 times a week and 20 mins of kettle-bell work out 3 times a week...

Its been hard, I can't see any difference yet but I can feel it in my legs and tummy...

As for food, well I ain't doing too well there, I keep eating junk, but to be fair I have cut back significantly...

It would be interesting to get views from other people and recommendations on what they think works and NOT lol...

Feel free to to comment and leave your views, before I lose all will power....

Fat Loss 4 Idiots

                    Weight Loss Facts:

Low Fat Foods DON'T WORK.

You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets.  Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes.  This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.

Low Calorie Diets DON'T WORK.

You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either.   In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt --- known as a dieting plateau).   You can never get slim by starving yourself.

Low Carb Plans DON'T WORK.

You'll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan.  Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people.   Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long.  This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.

What about Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig Dieting Plans?

Weight loss programs such as Weight Watchers (and Jenny Craig) usually involve slower dieting progress over a longer period of time, since such programs generally promise only 2-3 pounds of weight loss per week.  Also, programs such as Jenny Craig usually involve buying special meals and/or dietary supplements during the initial phases of the program.  While some people may like these types of dietary programs, we prefer a dieting plan which focuses on faster weight loss, such as the Accelerated Fat Burning Program...

The 31 Day Fat Loss Cure - Explained

The 31 Day Fat Loss Cure

What is it and how does it work?

This program exposes the diet industry's secrets that keep you coming back after regaining the weight.

You will learn a little known solution for losing weight. No matter whether you are male or female or how old you are, The 31 Day Fat Loss Cure will help you. Even if you have tried to lose weight before and are convinced nothing will work.

You will find out which health foods are secretly making you fat!!!

You do NOT need any special gym equipment or dumb bells.

Everything you have been told about losing weight is wrong, find out why.

Secret 1

Long, slow cardio workouts do not work effectively. They can help you lose weight but you will also lose muscle mass. If you look at long distance runners, they are very thin with little or no muscle tone.

In order to lose weight work outs need to be short and use as many muscle groups as possible.

These types of workouts keep your body burning calories for up to 48 hours after the workout.

Secret 2

Most health food that you eat are in fact actually making you fat.

Whole-grains are the WORST food for making you gain weight.

In the past, when we were cavemen, we were not able to process whole-grains, so we did not have Pasta, Bread or Rice, we had a diet rich in:

  • Meat
  • Fish
  • Nuts
  • Fruit
  • Vegetables
Our bodies have not evolved fast enough to process grains, so instead of our bodies accepting these foods and breaking them down, our bodies resist them. This causes us to suffer with Insulin Resistance. This is because we have huge spikes of insulin in our blood sugar which causes our body to store the excess as fat.

Secret 3

Ab exercises like crunches and sit ups do not work in burning fat.

Secret 4

People who use the right weight loss plan lose weight, those who don't, look exactly the same one month later.

This Plan is endorsed by:

Dr Ron Hekier. MD
Head weight loss Surgeon for the Bariatric Surgery Center for Texas.
